Journalistic Writing

This is a piece I wrote for a journalism class at LMU. I pitched the idea to interview several college-aged individuals who were able to support themselves financially through their social media presence. The idea was to talk with those who had found a niche image to profit off of, not necessarily the “influencers” that profit off of their name and image alone, but “influencers” that profit off of their place within a specific community. For example, the first interviewee was a young man who dropped out of college to document his experiences as an endurance runner traveling around the country and training.
