Video Content Creation

I conceptualized, wrote, acted in, filmed and edited these videos for an educational non-profit focused on introducing logical reasoning and philosophical concepts to high school and college students. These videos are part of a larger project to develop a formula for a video glossary of vocabulary terms to accompany an online learning course. The idea was to create fun sketches that could draw in a potentially unengaged audience, priming their focus for the ensuing lesson. I was excited by the challenge of making a vocabulary-dense subject fun and accessible.

This video explains the term “Systematic Empathy” and gives an example of its use in argumentation. The intent of the video is to show students how to respond thoughtfully to an egregious claim.

This video defines the word “argument,” distinguishing it from a “fight.”

This video defines the word, “premise,” and its role in the structure of an argument. This video is meant to naturally follow the previous one within the context of a lesson plan, possibly explaining any viewer confusion over the consistent references to “hot dogs.”
